Naaman

Syrian military leader healed of leprosy by Elisha

Naaman was the commander of the army of the king of Syria in the ninth centurcy BC. He was a leper.  A captured Israelite slave-girl advised Naaman to seek the aid of the prophet Elisha. Elisha told Naaman to go and wash in the Jordan seven times. When he reluctantly did so, his flesh became like the flesh of a child, and he was clean.
