Anna

Anna appears in Luke 2:36-38, as Mary and Joseph bring the infant Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem eight days after his birth.

There a man named Simeon recognizes that Jesus will be Savior of Israel and a light to the nations. Anna, a prophet, is also there; she is quite old and never leaves the temple, worshiping day and night. When she sees Jesus, she begins to speak about him to all who are looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.
