Timothy

The companion on Paul's later journeys for whom two pastoral epistles are named.

Timothy was a companion of the Apostle Paul. Acts 16:1-3 describes Paul meeting him in the town of Lystra. Timothy, already a Christian, was the son of a Greek father and a Jewish mother. A number of the letters attributed to Paul refer to Timothy, and some name him as a coauthor (2 Corinthians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, and Timothy).
