Lydia

A rich woman who sold purple goods in the city of Philippi.

According to Acts 16:14-40, Lydia was originally from Asia Minor but had moved to Philippi in Greece, where she sold purple cloth. She listened to Paul and was baptized, along with her household. Paul and Silas stayed with her. This makes Lydia the first known Christian convert in Europe.
