Epiphany literally means “manifest.” God’s manifestation in glory is noted in the Psalms and in the messages of the prophets. God’s epiphany was also made known when the magi arrived to see how God was made manifest in the infant Jesus. The church celebrates this event on January 6, the Epiphany of our Lord.
