Biography
Cody J. Sanders is Associate Professor of Congregational & Community Care Leadership at Luther Seminary. An ordained Baptist minister, prior to joining the Luther faculty, Cody was pastor of a congregation in Cambridge, MA, and served in higher education chaplaincy at Harvard and MIT. His books include, Corpse Care: Ethics for Tending the Dead (Fortress Press, 2023), Christianity, LGBTQ Suicide, and the Souls of Queer Folk (Lexington, 2020), Microaggressions in Ministry (Westminster John Knox, 2015), and A Brief Guide to Ministry with LGBTQIA Youth (Westminster John Knox, 2017), and he is co-editor of the new Lexington Books series, Queer and Trans Approaches to Religion and Theology.
