What's special about Ephesians?
Ephesians proclaims the unity of Jew and Gentile in one household of God and
spells out real-life implications of the gift of reconciliation with God and with one’s
fellow human beings.
When you download this Bible study leader guide from Enter the Bible, you'll receive insights on key passages as well as discussion questions to lead a four-week study.
This leader guide is informed by the scholarship of Dr. Mary Hinkle Shore, former Professor of New Testament at Luther Seminary and owner of Aging Life Care Partners, and Dr. Israel Kamudzandu, Associate Professor of New Testament Studies and Biblical Interpretation and Lindsey P. Pherigo Chair at Saint Paul School of Theology, Leawood, Kansas.
What’s Inside
This guide introduces you to Ephesians and can be adapted to suit your group's needs. With the resources below, you'll have the info and inspiration to lead with confidence.
Find commentaries on distinctive passages in Ephesians, including discussions on discernment (Ephesians 1), grace and salvation (Ephesians 2), and the armor of God (Ephesians 6), along with other passages. Reflection questions for each week provide prompts to lead a robust discussion on these passages.
Consider opening and closing each study session with prayer. It's a chance to give thanks for those present, to lift up particular prayer requests, to grow deeper in faith and community, and to seek God's help in understanding and living out the message found in God's Word.
Each Leader Guide contains dozens of links to passages, books, articles, podcast episodes, videos, and other Luther Seminary digital resources that will enhance your understanding of this book of the Bible.
