Proverbs 25:6-7a – Humility

BIBLE TEXT

Proverbs 25:6-7a

SUMMARY

Don’t think too much of yourself; be humble.

ANALYSIS

Proverbs 25:6-7a gives more advice about how to behave in the presence of the king or someone in power. This time the readers are told not to push their way to the head of the line. This advice is quite comparable to Jesus’ teaching about humility in Luke 14:7-11.
