SUMMARY
Wealth and poverty have profound effects.
ANALYSIS
Proverbs 10:15 is tricky because it can be read as admiring the rich (as having a “fortress,” no less) and disparaging the poor. But it is perhaps more appropriately read as the sad truth of injustice:
The wealth of the rich is their fortress;
the poverty of the poor is their ruin.
