Biography
Nia-Hyatt Eldosougi was born and raised in Indianapolis. She mostly attended Christian institutions throughout her schooling in Indianapolis, New Orleans, and New York City. She received a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience with an Honors in Theology from Xavier University of Louisiana. During her time at Xavier she founded a nonprofit that positioned her to work as a liaison between the Indianapolis community and its elected officials. At the age of 18 she became a bipartisan force in her community — and was strongly supported by people on both sides. She promoted social justice through innovative policy reform; created solutions for food deserts; and empowered other young adults to advocate and lead. This work encouraged her to pursue a master’s degree in theology. She will graduate from Union Theological Seminary in May 2026.
In addition to religion she connects with the divine through nature, arts/music, and all whom she encounters. If you want to hear more from Nia-Hyatt listen to "Intentions of Life - Podcast."
